Diodes, Inc. to Be Added to S&P SmallCap 600 Index

Jan 27, 2006

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., Jan. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Diodes Incorporated (Nasdaq: DIOD), a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality discrete semiconductors, primarily to the communications, computing, industrial, consumer electronics and automotive markets, today announced that it will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 index and the S&P GICS Semiconductors Sub-Industry index.

"It is great to see that we qualify for the S&P MidCap 600 Index. We have worked very hard at Diodes and have successfully achieved the metrics that place us in the index. Profitable growth is the key to our success, and we will continue on that premise, going forward." said Dr. Keh-Shew Lu, President and CEO of Diodes Incorporated.

The S&P SmallCap 600 index consists of 600 small-cap stocks, defined as companies with market capitalizations between $300 million and $2 billion. New stocks are added to the index based not only on size, but also on financial viability, liquidity, adequate float size, and other trading requirements. Introduced in 1994 in an effort to represent a smaller segment of the market than the S&P MidCap 400 index, the index has been gaining popularity among investment managers as an efficient way to track or invest in the small-cap market segment.
