Jun 1, 2006

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., June 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Diodes Incorporated (Nasdaq: DIOD), a leading manufacturer and supplier of high quality discrete and analog semiconductors, today announced that for the second time the Company has been named among "The 100 Hot Growth Companies" in BusinessWeek magazine, scoring 52nd in the overall ranking in the June 2006 issue.

"To be recognized for the second consecutive year as one of the 100 Hot Growth Companies by a prestigious business publication such as BusinessWeek is a major accomplishment for our company. This reflects Diodes' success in executing our growth strategy, which is to achieve profitable growth through a combination of manufacturing excellence, new product offerings and financial discipline. With the recent acquisition of Anachip and our successful entry into the analog market, we look forward to continued growth and profitability in the future," said Dr. Keh-Shew Lu, President and CEO of Diodes Incorporated.

To determine the "100 Hot Growth Companies," BusinessWeek began with a database of 5,275 public companies, which was narrowed to include companies with revenues between $50 million and $1.5 billion, market capitalizations of $25 million or greater and prices of at least $5 per share. In addition, share prices for these companies must have appreciated 5% or more over the last twelve months in order to qualify for the list. Companies meeting these criteria were then ranked based on sales growth, earnings growth and return on capital over the last three years. Diodes performance in these three areas was average annual sales growth of 24.1%, average annual earnings growth of 85.4% and return on capital of 15.6% over the past three years.
