Diodes Incorporated Announces Management Appointments and Promotions

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 2008--Diodes Incorporated (Nasdaq: DIOD), a leading global manufacturer and supplier of high-quality application specific standard products within the broad discrete and analog semiconductor markets, today announced several officer appointments and promotions approved by the Board of Directors.

Hans Rohrer has been appointed as Diodes' Senior Vice President of Business Development, and Collin Greene has been appointed as the Europe President and Vice President, Europe Sales and Marketing. Hans was the former CEO of Zetex plc, and Colin was the former COO, and both joined Diodes as a result of the Company's recent acquisition of Zetex. Additionally, the Company announced the promotions of Julie Holland to Vice President of Worldwide Analog Products and T.J. Lee to Vice President of Packaging Operations and General Manager of China Operations. Both Julie and T.J. have extensive experience in the semiconductor industry and have held various senior management positions at Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) prior to joining Diodes in early 2008 and 2006, respectively.

Hans has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. He began his career in research and development at Diehl Data Systems before working at TI from 1976 to 1980, where he held engineering and marketing positions. From 1980 to 1998, he held several managerial positions at National Semiconductor Corporation (NSM), including vice president and general manager of Europe and vice president for VLSI and mixed signal products. After NSM, he served as President of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (TSMC)-Europe. Hans holds a master's degree in electronics from Aalen University and received further business and management education from Stanford University, California and INSEAD, Paris.

Prior to joining Diodes, Colin held several positions with Zetex from 1997 to 2008. Since March 2004, he served on the Zetex board as an executive director and from December 2004 as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Zetex, he spent ten years with National NSM, most recently as European Marketing Manager for all analog products.

Julie joined Diodes in January 2008 with over 23 years of semiconductor experience in management and technical roles, including over ten years in senior business management positions. Prior to Diodes, Julie served as Director and General Manager of the Connectivity Solutions business unit at TI. Her responsibilities included leading business and technical teams in the US, Asia, and Japan in the development, production, and marketing of multiple interface product lines. During her tenure with TI, Julie held several key management roles within the Mixed Signal Products organization, including Director of the Worldwide Business Solutions business unit and Director of the Computer Peripheral and Control Products organization. She earned undergraduate degrees in Physics and Mathematics at Northwestern University and a master's degree in Engineering Management at Southern Methodist University. She is an alumna of Leadership America and Leadership Texas, and was named a Fellow of the International Women's Forum Leadership Foundation.

T.J. joined Diodes in 2006. Prior to joining the Company, he was the president of TI Taiwan Limited beginning March 1998. Prior to that appointment, he was a site manager of TI's assembly and testing facility in Chung Ho, Taiwan where he was responsible for the site's manufacturing operation, sales and marketing. T.J. held various engineering and quality management positions in the manufacturing facility throughout his 32 years career with TI, beginning as a Quality and Reliability Assurance supervisor in 1973. T.J. successfully transformed TI Taiwan's manufacturing site into the TI mix-signal products center. T.J. graduated from Taipei Institute of Technology and earned an EMBA degree from Tulane University in the United States.
