Diodes Incorporated Listed Among Business 2.0 Magazine's Fastest-Growing Technology Companies

Jun 9, 2005
- Diodes Ranks No. 45, up from No. 90 a year ago

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., June 9, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- Diodes Incorporated (Nasdaq: DIOD), a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality discrete semiconductors, announced its inclusion in the Business 2.0's 2005 list of "Fastest-Growing Technology Companies," ranking No. 45, up from No. 90 a year ago.

Business 2.0 narrowed an initial list of 2,000 publicly traded technology companies that have been trading for at least three years, bringing in at least $50 million in annual revenue, and having a positive cash flow over the most recently reported 12 months. Companies were selected per the following four financial criteria: revenue growth, profit growth, operating cash flow during the past three years, and the 12-month stock market return as of March 31, 2005. Cash flow growth, viewed as the most important measure, counted for 40 percent of a company's ranking, with each of the other criteria counting for 20 percent.

"We are extremely pleased to be selected by Business 2.0 for the fourth consecutive year," said Dr. Keh-Shew Lu, Diodes' President and CEO. "Our strategic initiatives once again enabled Diodes to be recognized as one of the top-performing technology companies as measured by the growth in revenues, earnings and cash flow from operations. And our focus on achieving profitable growth while expanding our portfolio of core intellectual property should enable us to create value for our shareholders and to continue to build a leadership position in the discrete semiconductor industry."

Diodes' performance included: 2004 earnings of $25.6 million on revenues of $185.7 million, with cash-flow from operations of $29.3 million, and a 12-month stock return of 24.6% as of March 31, 2005.
