Diodes Incorporated Wins United Kingdom's Northwest Business Environment Annual Award

DALLAS, Oct 27, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Diodes Incorporated (Nasdaq: DIOD), a leading global manufacturer and supplier of high-quality application specific standard products within the broad discrete, logic and analog semiconductor markets, today announced that the Company received the Best Environmental Practice Award for Large Companies at the Northwest Business Environment Annual Awards 2010 ceremony in Manchester, United Kingdom. Diodes is now eligible to represent the North West in the European Business Environment Awards.

The Environmental Award presented to Diodes at a ceremony hosted by ENWORKS and the Northwest Regional Development Agency, recognized the Company's more than 53% reduction in the carbon footprint of Diodes' Oldham based semiconductor wafer fabrication plant in less than 4 years, taking it from 30,660 to 14,418 tons of CO2 equivalent.
