Diodes, Inc. Expands SOT-223 Line with the Release of New Medium Power Bipolar Junction Transistors

Aug 15, 2007

Successfully Leverages Analog Package Capabilities into Discrete

                                 Lines

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 15, 2007--Diodes Incorporated (NASDAQ:DIOD), a leading global manufacturer and supplier of high-quality application specific standard products within the broad discrete and analog semiconductor markets, today announced the release of 19 medium power bipolar junction transistors in the Company's robust SOT-223 package. These new products are suitable for multiple applications. These include switching and linear amplification, discrete voltage regulation, MOSFET drivers, supply line switches, medium-powered load switches, telephony and video equipment, and power management circuits.

"We continue to successfully leverage package development capabilities from our earlier analog acquisition in order to broaden our discrete product line and share a common package technology across our various silicon technologies," remarks Mark King, Sr. VP of Sales and Marketing of Diodes, Inc. "This product release significantly expands our transistor portfolio for our consumer and industrial markets, and strengthens our competitive position with leadership products in new areas of the power semiconductor market."

These bipolar junction transistors have among the highest collector current ratings and the lowest collector-to-emitter saturation voltages on the market today, making these components well suited for a range of end-user products that are in demand today, such as power management circuits, inverters, lighting ballasts, motor and solenoid drivers, buffering and switching regulator circuits, DC-DC converters.

The introduction of these 19 bipolar junction transistor components exemplifies the Company's flexibility, as it enters into the medium power bipolar transistor market. These new products are offered in a voltage range of 20V-300V and a current range of 0.5A-6A.

The part numbers are DCP51, DCP52, DCP53, DCP54, DCP55, DCP56, DCP68, DCP69A, DZTA42, DZTA92, DZT2222A, DZT2907A, DZT3150, DZT491, DZT591C, DZT851, DZT853, DZT951, and DZT953. All of these components are produced at Diodes' state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in the Shanghai, China region.
